Classical Attraction Dressage Society
The Classical Attraction Dressage Society, a Region 2 Group Member Organization (GMO) of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote the advancement and sport of dressage locally in Northeast Ohio through schooling shows, clinics and horsemanship education for riders of all ages, experience and skill levels.

Cost:
$25.00 per class entered for CADS members, $35 for non-members.
$15.00 Office Fee.
CADS April Virtual Show Instructions:
1. Submit an entry form online as usual.
2. Video your test following the "Video Guidelines" below, a separate video for each test is required.
3. Upload your video(s) to YouTube with a minimum 480p resolution, the higher the resolution the better.
4. Email the YouTube link to your video (ride) to cadsrider@gmail.com by midnight on April 17th.
5. The judge(s) will have one week after the show date to view/judge the rides, followed by the processing of scores.
6. Results will be emailed to competitors and posted on the website with the option of picking up ribbons at the next in-person show.
Video Instructions:
1. The video must be ridden for THIS SHOW ONLY.
2. Hold up a sign before your ride stating your name, CADS April show, and what test you will be riding.
3. Videos must be in landscape (horizontal) view.
4. Use a tripod or steady surface to keep the video as steady as possible.
5. Film from “C” – the judge’s position approx. 10 ft back from the edge of the arena
6. The arena perimeter needs to be marked and the corners have to be marked. It does not need to be fancy and can be DIY
7. Letters need to be visible, they can be DIY
8. Keep the entire horse and rider in view at all times
9. The test must be ridden from beginning to end with no editing or cutting
10. Upload the highest resolution possible with a minimum of 480p
The judge reserves the right to decline any video due to poor quality. Please review your video for clarity and lighting before submitting it.

Big News!
Announcing the CADS Obstacle Challenge
May 19th, July 14th, August 11th
On Sundays after the Schooling Shows
Starting on Sunday, May 19th this year, CADS will be offering an Obstacle Course Challenge Competition at the Brecksville Stables
The course will consist of 12 Board-curated obstacles
that riders at YOUTH and ADULT levels will have 12 minutes to complete.
Successful completion of each obstacle will be judged by one of our expert judges.
Points for equitation and harmony will also be awarded.
Year-end awards will be given based on the totals score of the three events.
Sign-up will OPEN and CLOSE at the same time as the Schooling Show for that month.

Working Equitation Clinic & Schooling Show
CADS has scheduled a Working Equitation Clinic and Schooling Show with Emily Gill,
WE Master-Level Rider
June 1 & 2, 2024 at the Brecksville Stables
On June 1st and 2nd this year, CADS will be offering a Working Equitation Clinic AND Schooling Show at the Brecksville Stables
The Clinic will be conducted by Emily Gill, WE Master-Level Rider. Emily will also be Judging the Working Equitation Schooling show for all three sections, Dressage, Ease of Handling and Speed.
The Clinic and Schooling Show will be limited to 16 riders.
Sign-up will OPEN on April 22nd and CLOSE on May 24th. Mark your calendars.

CADS announces a SUPER-BIG weekend-event we're calling the:
SUMMER PALOOZA
June 29 & 30, 2024 at the Brecksville Stables
On June 29th and 30th, CADS is hosting some HUGE Dressage Events at the Brecksville Stables
The First Event will be on Saturday, June 29th:
USEF/WDAA Lite Recognized Western Dressage Show

The Second Event will be on Saturday, June 29th later that afternoon:
CADS FreeStyle Competition with CASH PRIZES

The Third Event will be on Sunday, June 30th:
USEF/USDF Recognized Classical Dressage Show
Judge: Ida Norris - S
There will also be a BBQ Cookout for the Competitors and their families on Saturday Night.

Reserved Private Ride Times
CADS is now offering RESERVED ride times
at the Brecksville Stables Indoor Arena for MEMBERS ONLY
Sessions will be monitored by the CADS Brecksville Facility Manager
RESERVED RIDE TIMES
Request a private reserved time from 9AM-6PM on the sign-up form.
Subject to availability of the facility and confirmation by the Facility Manager.
Cost: $10.00 per hour
for each rider/horse/trainer/supervisor/videographer combination.
OPEN RIDING SESSION LIMITATIONS
To avoid any confusion and excessive use of the facility,
the number of open riding sessions will be limited to 4 one-hour sessions PER DAY
with a limit of 4 riders/horse combinations PER SESSION.
Any requested use of the facility for open riding that exceeds 4 one-hour sessions
PER DAY , PER GROUP OF RIDERS will be classified as a "Clinic" and therefore
subject to clinic day-rate fees.
